Wicked Nails

After Noel and I saw Wicked for her birthday, we stopped at the Claire's next to the theater and got a few "souvenirs." One of mine was a nail polish set. I have been excited to use the nail polish and have the perfect excuse today (I'm going to the movie with the hubby tonight), so I painted my nails this morning. I am a bit disappointed because the colors weren't as vivid as I had expected, but I am happy to have pretty nails. 

Her Birthday

 

Noel turned 19, yesterday! (I didn't forget to post about it. I wanted to make sure to get pictures of the day first.) She started the day finishing the outfit she was making for the evening, and she did a WONDERFUL job! I am is awe of her sewing talent. 

Then, we had Panda Express for lunch and headed to see Wicked Part 1. We loved it. Neither of us have seen the stage production, so this was our chance to see it. We already have plans to see the other half when it comes out next year. 

Later, we went to dinner at the place of her choosing with the family and her boyfriend followed by going home for presents, dessert, and a game that she chose. 

My hope is that she knows how much she is loved and felt special on her special day. 

Tuesday Movie

 It’s hard to find inexpensive dates this time of year. However, we have discovered that AMC theaters has huge discounts on tickets for Tuesday nights. We discovered this last month when we saw The Boys in the Boat. Tonight, we took advantage of it and saw One Love (a movie about Bob Marley). Considering I’m not a huge fan of these kind of movie, it is the perfect way to enjoy time spent with the hubby doing something he enjoys. 

Middle Child’s Day

 

Today is Middle Child’s Day. It doesn’t really mean much to most people, but I like to point it out each year because I was the middle child and still am in some aspects. My Sean is also the middle child. That means we got to have some time just the two of us tonight which we don’t have very often. (That may change depending on Noel’s school schedule.) Our chosen a activity was watching Haunted Mansion. I thought it was a bit scary, and Sean enjoyed my pain. It was fun to spend time together. Hopefully, another movie we are both interested in comes out again soon. 

Barbie x2

I went to see the Barbie Movie yesterday with Noel and today with one of my best friends and a few other ladies. For the most part, I loved the movie. (If you have known me long enough, that shouldn’t be a surprise.) the only part I didn’t like was the end. Other than that, the music is great, the story line was fun, and there were a lot of funny parts. Of course it doesn’t hurt to have Ryan Gosling shirtless for most of the movie. 

I went both things in the same outfit. The first time, Noel dressed up, too. 

Tonight, we all wore something pink which of course meant I wore the same outfit. 

If I were to be invited to this movie again, I would go without a problem. As soon as it is on streaming services or a cable channel, I will watch it again. This may be my new favorite movie. 

The Anticipation

Noel and I have been talking about going to The Barbie Movie for quite a while. Tomorrow, we will be going to the 3:15 showing in a neighboring town. I am so excited! It better be as good as I am hoping. I’m going to see it the next night with a friend.

To prepare for the movie, we went to the thrift store to find the perfect Barbie outfits. I got a pink shirt, black skirt, and a floppy hat. (I already have heels to go with it.) Noel got shorts, a pink shirt, sparkly heels, and a hat. We tried on the outfits for Chad when we got home. She looks perfect (of course), and I am cute. These outfits will totally make the experience better!
