Northern Lights

Last night, I was able to see the Northern Lights from my house! It was really cool!

With the naked eye, I was only able to see some pink streaks in the sky. With my camera I was able to get a clearer view. I took one picture from my front porch (neighbor's house included) and one from the back porch (fence and street lights included).

I love that I live somewhere that I can experience such amazing things!

I Love Nature

I planted Xenia seeds this summer, and they are at their peak right now. I have never planted them before, but I will definitely do it again. Today, and Sean and I were leaving the house, I saw that one of my darker flowers has one light petal. I wish I had noticed a week ago before this flower started to get brown, but it is still really cool and pretty. I hope to find more unique, pretty mixes next year.

The Moon

The moon is really big tonight. (I know this is because it is so close to the earth.) As I walked down my street after my run, I was in awe at its beauty. I am so lucky to be able to enjoy God’s creations!

The Bug

I found this bug on the wall a few nights ago. I’m not sure what it is or where it cam from, but it is so pretty. Sometimes, I am awed by the beauty that comes from unlikely sources. It is more proof of the greatness of God.

Water Levels

When Chad and I went paddle boarding a few days ago, I tried to figure out why I didn’t remember a huge tree in the middle of the area we got in. I figured it out as we came back in 2 hours later. The tree was on the beach last year. The water levels are higher than they have been for a while.

We live in a dry part of the country that is borderline a desert. This year, we keep getting record precipitation. It has made the lakes and rivers vey full. Honestly, I love it. Full rivers and lakes are beautiful.
