A Healthy Breakfast for All

Due to my lack of motivation to take 3 or 4 kids to the grocery store, we had to go to the gas station in town to get breakfast. Our choice was doughnuts (chocolate for the boys and powder for Noel and me) and chocolate milk. I know some mom's will just die seeing my kids eat sugar for breakfast, but I was a super hero this morning.

I would bet that pancakes covered in syrup have just as much sugar, or how about fruit loops? It's good every now and then to show our kids that mom can have some fun and it's good to remind ourselves too that we can be the hero once in a while! I bet they just thought you were the coolest mom ever! Good job!

Are you kidding? I would LOVE to have that for breakfast! We usually have cereal. Karen said she always made her kids pancakes everyday... I told her I'm not a breakfast-making person. Eggs and toast is gourmet during the week at my house. Matt's the bk maker on the weekends. :)

This just shows what a fun mom you are and how down to earth you really are. That's awesome! I'm sure your kids absolutely loved it!

The kids obviously loved it, it was easy for you, and it won't hurt them a bit to have that for breakfast every so often! (I myself ended up grabbing a Twinkie for breakfast when I ran out of time this morning, so I'm right there with you!)
